Big Ups to Anson...
My little brother plays competitive hockey. I thought he'd be the first Canadian to do this (provided that he actually makes it to the NHL)
All Hip Hop has an article about Los Angeles Kings forward Anson Carter, the NHL Player who just launched Big Up Entertainment
Carter is quoted in an interview with AllHipHop.com that the company is "building the ground level to be a multi-faceted entertainment company." He's starting with two VA artists, Main and Merc. I know that's going to ruffle a few Canadian feathers.
Like most people who start businesses, Carter wants to do it Diddy style- music, fashion, and whatever else hip hop can be used for to make a profit. However, unlike most people, dude has the capital to do it. I'm interested to see where this goes
AllHipHop mistakingly reports that Carter is the only Black person in the NHL, but they forgot about Jarome Iginla, Georges Laraque, Kevin Weekes and Donald Brashear to name a few.
Anyways, To read the article on AllHipHop.com, go here.
PS: My Hello Program won't work... how the #@$! do I get photos on my site?
